Sangria is a delicious, fruity refreshment.
This is a drink that lends itself to customizing.
There are many versions of Sangria on the Internet.
I personally am not a big alcohol drinker.
This recipe has no alcohol content and is high in fruity flavor.
It can also be made with alcohol.
Just my kind of drink!
If you like alcohol, you can bump up the booze content.
If you like the fruity taste, jump on-board and give this recipe a try!
The fruit used can vary.
I use one of each of the following: orange, lemon, lime, and granny smith apple. I use a pint of strawberries, some grapes and a pineapple.
The liquid consists of orange juice, ginger ale, fresh lemon juice, fresh lime juice, frozen cranberry concentrate, and frozen grape concentrate.
All of the fruit is cleaned and sliced.
Take a third of the sliced fresh fruit and keep for garnish.
The remainder of the fresh fruit that has been sliced and cleaned will be added to the liquid.
The liquid is combined except for the ginger ale.
This mixture should be refrigerated overnight for the best results.
The ginger ale will be added prior to serving.
When refrigerated overnight, the fruits both flavor the drink and soak up the liquid, turning plump and juicy.
Serve it with you favorite dessert like the Pina colada cake!
Or serve it by itself!
