Disney Springs is in downtown Orlando; it’s formerly Downtown Disney, the shopping and eating district for Disney. It has grown significantly in the past few years, expanding into a real shopping and entertainment destination for everyone. New restaurants keep opening up, and new stores are still being planned.
Disney Springs: Restaurants and Retail
Dining is unique in Disney Springs. There are some of the coolest restaurants and bars that I’ve ever seen there. On my last visit, I ate at D-Lux Burgers, which I had been hearing about for some time. They offer traditional burgers, as well as ground chicken and veggie burgers. The best part about it though is the many different sauce options for their fries. Be sure to get an assortment of dipping sauces, and try a delicious milkshake. I also had a wine slushie and Mickey Mouse mousse cake at Amaretto’s Patisserie and they were so amazing. I highly recommend trying a wine slushie while you’re there. There’s also plenty of snack stands offering your favorite Disney treats, like Dole Whips, Mickey bars, and more.
The shopping at Disney Springs is amazing as well. From European stores like Zara and Uniqlo, to chains like Pandora and the Lego Store, to Disney stores like World of Disney, there is plenty of shopping options for everyone. World of Disney is one of my favorite shops for all kinds of Disney merch. You can get anything you would want for your home, clothes, toys, and all kinds of souvenirs.
Be sure to check it out for all your non-theme park related needs. Plus, parking is free, so you don’t have to spend money on anything you don’t want. It’s a great thing to do on an “off” day from the parks.
What’s your favorite parts about Disney Springs? I would love to be down there for Christmas time- has anyone seen some of the extras they offer for Christmas?
