Macro Tracking has changed my life! Never heard of it? Here’s my story. 

I was diagnosed with MS several years ago. Since then, I’ve had several symptoms which have caused lots of health issues.

One of those issues was weight gain. At my heaviest, I was 305 pounds! I was so embarrassed and felt terrible. 

My first thought was to find out about weight loss surgery, but a friend encouraged me to try macro tracking. I had heard of it, but thought only CrossFit enthusiasts or bodybuilders used it.

I quickly discovered that I was wrong!

My friend told me to get the My Fitness Pal app, so I went for it. I quickly discovered I was eating too many foods high in fat, sodium, or sugar. 


Macro Tracking Success: 

My first week, I lost 5 lbs.! 

With that first success, I paid for the full premium content on the app.

Very simply, macro tracking counts the number of grams of protein, fats, and carbs you eat each day. The app makes tracking so easy. I enter the food I plan to eat that day, and the app tells me how many grams there are in each of the foods. 

You can actually eat more food with tracking, and you completely ignore calories. 

As of today, I have officially lost 33 pounds!

This is NOT a diet! It’s also more than weight loss.

It’s a lifestyle eating change. Through this process, I have cut almost all refined sugars, which is huge to me. I used to drink a 32 oz. Dr. Pepper everyday and add 6 tablespoons of sugar to my coffee each  day.

Plus, I feel amazing! I have not noticed any MS symptoms. I feel strong and am swimming every day. My nails and hair are stronger and growing more quickly. 

Macro tracking is about getting the proper nutrients your body needs to work. Plus, you truly can eat whatever you want! You just have to plan for it. 

It’s literally changed my life!
