Life Hacks, Part 2 (3 Tips)

unnamed (1)

Life Hacks, Part 2 is my continuation of Emily’s previous post of Life Hacks, Part 1.

I love those posts, and I’m guessing you’re ready for some more.

I decided to offer my best life hacks that I’ve used and collected along the way.

We want to emphasize that these work well for us, but may not work well for everyone.

Keeping that in mind, here we go again!

Life Hacks, Part 2:

•Using Camphor Salve.

Camphor Salve is a topical analgesic. It works by temporarily relieving itching and pain.

In my house, we use Camphor Salve for just about all of our aches and pains!

Life Hacks, Part 2

We especially use it for treating pain and itching associated with minor skin irritations. In the summer when the mosquitoes and flies are pesky, we rely on Camphor Salve to relieve itchy bites.

When someone comes down with congestion, Camphor Salve is soothing.

All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects.

This old “tried and true” remedy works great. No more itching and it is also great for relieving minor aches and congestion.

The tin is quite large and will last quite awhile.

Camphor Salve is like a whole medicine chest in one little can.

Life Hacks, Part 2:

 •Using an Aloe Vera Plant.

Fact:  I almost always burn myself when I’m using my curling iron.

Why?  It’s because I’m always in a hurry to get my hair done.  When I’m getting ready to go somewhere, I normally fix my hair last.

Life Hacks, Part 2

By the time I get to my hair, I’m in a rush! Being in a rush, results in carelessness when handling the curling iron.

I burn myself on something, so what do I do?

I break off a piece of Aloe Vera Plant, open it up, and rub in on my burn!

Using an Aloe Vera Plant is like using a magic eraser for burns!

Life Hacks, Part 2:

•Taping your heels.

Personal confession: One of my greatest social fears is to slip and fall in front of a group of people. I have good reason to be afraid: I’ve done it.

At the time, I wasn’t wearing heels, but that event was etched in my memory so deeply that wearing heels takes on a new level of discomfort.

So what do I do? Avoid heels? No!

I tape my heels.

Use masking tape on the bottoms of your shoes. They help adhere your shoe to the surface you’re walking on.

Try it, and you’ll see why I always, always, always tape my heels for more self-confidence!
