My recent Everlane experience began when I checked out Its amazing website where you can purchase women’s and men’s clothing.
I first heard of it awhile back, when Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s American actress girlfriend, was spotted wearing their fashions and carrying their tote.
After seeing another news story, I decided to investigate Everlane and came away a huge fan.
- They are super-affordable. I was shocked at the price tags – in a good way. I purchased two tees, very basic, for $16 each, with free shipping and return shipping, if necessary. Jeans are $68 each for several styles.
- Incredible details about their products. Each item lists the model’s height and size, the materials used in the product, where the product is made, and an email address for questions about fit. I love that!
- Transparent pricing. At the end of the item description, Everlane tells you how much cost they have in each item. Yes – can you believe it?!? Then, they list their price, along with a comparable item in a box store. What I’ve discovered is that most of their items’ true costs are then doubled as a list price. Traditional retail is quintupled!
- Transparent production methods. At the top of each product page, on the menu bar, you see “Factories” listed. Click on it, and you can then see their 22 factories located in the U.S. and around the world. Click on any one of those factories to read more specifics and see photos of the operations.
I’m sold on my Everlane experience; in the future, I’ll consult their offerings before making purchases.
