Christmas Season Date Nights

I love the Christmas season! From the decorations, to the special treats, there’s just something magical about it all. Christmas season date nights are always more magical too. Here’s a few of my favorite date night ideas for Christmas time.

Christmas Season Date Nights:

  1. Ice skating- Ice skating is pretty traditional for winter time. What could be more romantic than going around the rink hand in hand with your date? Warm up with hot chocolate afterwards.
  2. Christmas movie night- Sometimes it’s nice to stay in and just watch Christmas movies in your pajamas. Enjoy with gingerbread cookies and eggnog.
  3. Sleigh ride- If you’re lucky enough to live somewhere that offers sleigh rides, take advantage of it! It’s on my bucket list to go riding through the snow one day with my husband.
  4. Christmas lights- What’s more magical than driving around looking at Christmas lights? Whether around a neighborhood, or at an event, Christmas lights are magical. Go for a drive and soak it in.
  5. Dinner/ the Nutcracker – One of my favorite Christmas traditions is to go out to eat at a nice downtown restaurant that’s all lit up and decorated for Christmas and see the Nutcracker. A lot of Christmas plays are performed this time a year, so find a dinner theater or school and enjoy a Christmas play!

  • My perfect idea of a Christmas Date would be walking through a snowy park , a horse drawn sled ride, or a drive around the neighborhood looking at Christmas lights, drinking hot cocoa and listening to Christmas Music!

  • I like driving around looking at lights. Also, another fun night would be to go to the local hotels and see all the decorations. Disney always does a fabulous job.

  • So my ideas have been spoken for, so I will offer this one. For those of you who like to be a bit more adventurous you could go snowboarding / skiing together. We did it one evening last winter and I really enjoyed it. Sure he knew how to snowboard already and I was the one learning, but I still found it enjoyable (even though I was frustrated from time to time). After hitting the slopes, grab yourself a nice hot chocolate Russin (or a normal non-alcoholic hot chocolate) and enjoy sitting by the fire.

  • Ice Skating at the outlets in Deer Park, followed by some dinner at Johnny Rockets (of course my husband and I would need to share a chocolate shake while listening to some romantic oldies on the juke box), followed by some shopping. Then, home to cuddle under a blanket with some Hot Chocolate, while watching Christmas specials

  • For date night or family night: Make a thermos of hot chocolate or spiced cider and a plate of Chistmas cookies and treats. Drive around your town to view Christmas lights. Have a sing-a-long with your favorite carols. See how many you can remember all the words too. Find a station that plays carols if you need some help.
