To many people, fall isn’t complete without going apple picking.

Then, the question becomes, “How do I use these apples?”

I have a great option for you: make a delicious Apple Crisp!

The recipe is easy to make.

Apple Crisp prep:

Using your favorite apple, mine is Gala, rinse and slice 7 – 8 of them.

In a mixing bowl, add sugar, flour, and butter and combine.

(I also added some cinnamon in the mixture.)

In a baking dish, place the apples, a bit more cinnamon, and a little bit of water. Mix.

Sprinkle the sugar/flour/butter mixture on top of the apples.

Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30-40 minutes.

I baked mine at for 35 minutes, but the apples weren’t thoroughly cooked. Be sure to check for doneness near the end of the baking time.

Serve with whipped topping, ice cream, or plain – – All three are delicious!

While this recipe is perfect for fall, it’s great anytime of the year. Indulge in a comfort food dessert that’s tasty and beautiful enough for company!
