Native Deodorant is my new favorite deodorant!

A few years ago, I went on the hunt to find the perfect deodorant- not an antiperspirant, but an all natural non-toxic deodorant. I had been reading up on the effects of aluminum on the body such as cancer and Alzheimer’s. Aluminum is the main ingredient in antiperspirants, since it’s what clogs up the glands to make the sweat stop coming out. Our bodies were meant to sweat naturally, and clogging up the glands is unhealthy. Adding toxic chemicals to the mix only seemed to make it worse. So, I went on the hunt for a healthy, all natural deodorant.

Native Deodorant Benefits:

After some trial and error, I came upon the one I use now- Native deodorant. Native Deodorant is safe, non-toxic, and smells really good. You buy it online, and the best part is that you sign up on a subscription plan and they mail you one at your required frequency. I’m on the bi-monthly plan, so every 2 months, they charge me $10 to send a new deodorant.

Once I found the one that worked, I had an adjustment period to get through. For the first week or so that I stopped using my antiperspirant, I sweat a lot, and it was not a pleasant smell (this part is good to go through in the winter, by the way). But once your body adjusts, it’s great. You will still sweat, but there isn’t a smell to it. Now, it won’t keep you from smelling bad after a workout, but who doesn’t smell bad after sweating their butts off?

If you’re looking for a new deodorant, I highly suggest trying out Native deodorant. They have many different scents for men and women, as well as different formulas for extra sensitive skin.

Do you use natural deodorant? Which brand do you like?
